Support for renewable energy sources and combined heat and power generation
Východoslovenská distribučná, a.s. as a distribution system operator in the territory delimited is a compulsory participant in the system of support for electricity generated from renewable energy sources (RES) and combined heat and power generation (CHP) on the grounds of Act No. 309/2009 Coll.
Support for electricity generation from RES and CHP has been provided for:
- By preferential connection of power generation assembly to the regional distribution system, by access to the system, by electricity transmission, electricity distribution and electricity supply
- By electricity off-take by operator of the regional distribution system to which the electricity generating assembly of electricity producer is connected either directly or through a local distribution system at the price of electricity for losses
- By additional payment
- By assumption of responsibility for deviations by the regional distribution system operator
Electricity producer from RES and CHP may apply for aid by filling up the form Application for aid (the template is published in the section Forms) and by sending it to the distribution system operator with obligatory enclosures to the abovementioned application. The obligatory enclosures to the application are as follows:
- valid price decision
- valid certificate of origin for the electricity generated
- valid business licence in energy industry or valid confirmation that the notification obligation to the Regulatory Office of Network Industries in accordance with Sec. 5 of the Energy Act has been met
- an assumed annual characteristics of supply to the distribution system in monthly structure (for an assembly with output of above 1 MW there is an assumed supply characteristics in quarter-hour-structure sent electronically to the e-mail address mer_hodnoty@vsds.sk in the format .xls or .xlsx)
- the list of meters, data of which the producer shall use when applying for aid together with the information on the type, serial number, initial status of the reader display, multipliers for reading meters, identification data of the person responsible for installation of meters, protocol from the Slovak Legal Metrology (hereinafter referred to as SLM) on legal verification of meters, transformers measuring current and voltage, their label data, date and protocol number of verification by the SLM
- one-pole scheme of the source connection to the distribution system operator with the interface marked (producer – DSO, producer – lessor – DSO, producer – operator of the local distribution system – DSO etc.), with location of electric meter held by the DSO and with marked transformer station.
Conclusion of the Contract on electricity supply is conditioned by properly filled in Application for aid with all enclosures, valid Contract on connection of electricity producer to the distribution system and successful performance of all functional tests.
