Connection of Energy Equipment for Electricity Production into the Distribution System

The first step in the process of connection of energy equipment for electricity production (hereinafter referred to as “Equipment for Electricity Production”) into the distribution system is the filing of the application for connection of the electricity generation source into the distribution system:

Request for the Connection of a Source for Electricity Production into the Distribution System

This request serves for the elaboration of a binding statement of VSD, a.s. regarding the connection of equipment for electricity production.

The request has to contain the following attachments:

• certificate on the compliance of the investment goal with the long-term concept of energy policy of the SR in terms of section 11 of Act 656/2004 Coll. The certificate is not required if the electricity installation under construction is a solar energy power source located on a building with a total installed capacity of 100 kW or a electricity generating facility with a total installed capacity of up to 1 MW, which uses other primary energy sources than solar energy.);
• agreement of the owners of the affected real estates or the agreement of the municipality (town) with the construction of the source, as the case may be;
• situation of broader relationships on the scale 1 : 10,000 or 1 : 5,000;
• project documentation of the source (construction and power technological part) without the solution of the connection (technical report describing the way and the technology of production);
• situation plan on the scale 1 : 1,000 (1 : 2,880) with the marking of the point of delivery and the neighboring object (including the labeling numbers).

You can send the request:

• by post to the address Východoslovenská distribučná, a.s., Mlynská 31, 042 91 Košice or
• deliver it directly at the filing room of the company VSD, a.s. in Mlynská 31 in Košice.

In the case of an incomplete application or missing attachments, VSD, a.s. wil not consider nor accept such a request.

The company VSD, a.s. as the DSO accepts only complete applications to connect power sources generating electricity into the distribution system with all attachments mentioned above and issues only statements with information necessary to connect a power source generating electricity into the distribution system of VSD, a.s. An incomplete application will be not registered and the applicant will be asked to complete it. The application will be registered on the date of receipt of missing documentation at VSD, a.s.
