Ripple control
Ripple control denotes a set of equipment that controls (switches on/off) electrical appliances and sets the consumption tariffs.
By means of ripple control it is possible to control different appliances in households and industry, e.g. storage water heaters, electrical storage and hybrid furnaces, direct heating thermal appliances, air-conditioning, cooling and freezing machines, dishwashers and washing machines, agricultural and water management water pumps, agricultural irrigation and repumping machines or heat pumps. In some cases ripple control also switches the consumption metering during the time of validity of the high and low tariff.
The control of the ripple control system is carried out from one central point simultaneously to transmitters placed in the electric stations of the distribution system. They enable signal transmission to receivers placed with the customers by means of the already existing distribution grid.
